This par 28 layout is abundant in water and challenging bunkers, although not as demanding as its sister routing, Amberwood Executive Golf Course.
Measuring 1,517-yards from the longest tees, Oakleigh, which opened in 2003, features par three holes difficult enough for any championship course. Good tee shot swill reward players with a nice look at the green, but they should be ready to use almost every club in the bag.
All handicaps are welcome to play at Oakleigh, but golfers must be residents of the surrounding community since this is strictly a private layout. But one of the many advantages of being a resident member at The Villages is that there’s no green fees for walking any of the 40+ routings on the Villages Executive Golf Trail.
Once out on the Oakleigh Executive Golf Course, members are welcomed by beautiful landscaping designed by the remarkable course architecture firm of Clifton, Ezell and Clifton. Beginners or casual players who want to warm up before their round can have fun on Oakleigh’s spacious driving range.
