Plantation Golf and Country Club's Panther Course is an 18-hole layout well-loved by many Florida golfers and well deserving of the attention and appreciation it receives. Along with the Bobcat Course, this 36-hole facility's second championship routing, Panther has been a host venue for the LPGA Tour since 1988.
The layout is exceptional, and the 6,427-yard course is beautiful presented. Designed by Ron Garl and Stephen Kay in 1987, the par 72 Panther routing has a slope of 129 and a USGA rating of 70.8. It is described as a challenging but fair course not advisable for rookie golfers. There are carefully designed layup holes with sand traps that are well-maintained and greens that are consistently fast.
The Plantation Golf and Country Club, Panther Course's ninth hole is arguable the best par 5 anyone will ever play. The left side is purely out of bounds and there is a large water hazard on the right before players even get on the green which is replete with its own subtle challenges. The trees buffering the lake also offer one of the most beautiful view players will see on course.
The amenities are top quality at the 36-hole Plantation Golf and Country Club with ample practice facilities for golfers including a driving range, putting greens, teaching pros, and a golf school academy. Plantation's clubhouse serves delicious food and can also be hired as a meeting or banquet facility.

Plantation Golf and Country Club is a private 55+ community in Venice. It is one of the most notable communities in the Southwest Florida area and is significant for being the home of LPGA Tour events since 1988.
