Open to the public and located just 15-minutes south of downtown West Palm Beach is the Poinciana Golf Club which features one of the best short courses in South Florida. Designed by renowned golf course architect Leon Howard in 1976, the layout offers a quick and challenging test of a golfer's target golf skills that can be played in less than four hours.
The challenging par 64 executive golf course has three par 5s, four par 4s, and eleven par 3s, for a total of 4,560-yards. With numerous lakes and bunkers protecting some of the best greens in the area and four sets of tees to choose from, Poinciana Golf Club offers a fun game of golf for players of all abilities and a real test of golf to the most advanced players from its longest tee markers.
Hazards are strategically placed throughout the golf course, which provides a good short game practice for advanced players, but is still approachable enough for beginners. Poinciana Country Club is a popular place for locals and is still a well-kept secret from the rest of South Florida.
Golfing facilities at the club include pitching and chipping area. At the center of the club is the clubhouse, where many of the nearby golf home residents gather and socialize. The club also provides Mel's Way Bistro which offers a changing menu and live entertainment.
Although Poinciana Country Club has no social, tennis, or golf memberships, the amenities at the club include four tennis courts, bocce ball courts, shuffleboard courts, a swimming pool, and multi-purpose rooms.
