Located in the heart of Port Charlotte, Florida, the Port Charlotte Golf Club is a semi-private premier 18-hole layout and was the very first golf course in Charlotte County. Formerly known as The Golf Links of Charlotte Harbor, the routing measures 6,754-yards from the longest tees, with both fairways and greens covered in Bermuda grass to keep the golf course drought-resistant against the Florida heat.
Voted as the ‘best course' in the county for 10 consecutive years, the par 72 layout opened in 1959 and was first designed by well-known architects David Wallace and Mark Mahannah, Sr. Years later, architect Charles Ankrom stepped in to improve the routing but kept its original design.
Decades after, Mays Holdings decided to purchase Port Charlotte despite its poor condition, the new owners of the club chose to make another makeover to the course and its amenities to bring golfers and members the best possible golf experience. Several extensive renovations were made to the entire grounds of the layout, the parking area, the Pro Shop, the restaurant, and the lounge to regain the course's pristine quality.
The Port Charlotte Golf Club reopened to members and has been providing an excellent dining and social experience while maintaining a friendly, inclusive, and comfortable environment for all. The course's MarTeeni's Bar and Grill is also one of the most sought-after fine-dining restaurants in the city and offers expertly-prepared dishes along with a signature martini list from the bar.
The club has a range of practice facilities including putting and chipping greens, a driving range, and teaching professionals to guide all golfers. Being one of the most renowned layouts in Port Charlotte, members of the club also have the privilege to access over 50 reciprocal private golf courses for their convenience.

The majority of the community's golf course homes are designed in modern architectural styles with two to three-bedrooms and bathrooms floor plans. With ample car parking garages and large front yards, most golf residences measure from 1,500-square feet while some have over 3,000-square feet.
Port Charlotte Beach Park's location is nearby to the community and is where residents can access a 6,000-square foot recreation center with a heated swimming pool, basketball and bocce courts, playground area, fishing pier, kayak and canoe launch, boat ramp, and small shelters with tables that are perfect for picnics.
The club's 18-hole layout also adds vibrancy to the community as the very first golf course in Charlotte County. Located in the heart of the city, the routing has a premier fine-dining restaurant and a comfortable, full-service bar, offering the club's signature drinks.
