The RedStick Golf Club features 18-holes of championship golf built on hilly terrain, so the tee boxes are elevated and offer great views of the fairways and greens below. Players will enjoy testing their skills on this well-manicured layout as they navigate through a mix of open meadows and tall pines.
Designed by respected golf course architects Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, the par 72 layout measures 7,192-yards from the back tees and remains an excellent course for both competitive and recreational play. Established in the winter of 1997, as a traditional, private golf club for the enjoyment of the members and their guests, RedStick was not, nor was ever, intended to be a “for-profit” venture by its founders.
After its opening, the golf course gained Golf Digest's "Best New Public Course" in 1998 and the People's Choice Award for Best New Florida Course by readers of Orlando Magazine in 1998. RedStick Golf Club has been home to some of the PGA's most prestigious tournaments. In fact, in 2002, it hosted the Ford Championship at Doral, which was won by Tiger Woods.
The signature holes include the 17th, a 490-yard, par 4 hole with plenty of water in front of it. It is rated as very difficult, and it is one of the most photographed holes on the course. The 14th is a long par-five hole measuring 630-yards and with water surrounding three sides of the green. It is also rated as very difficult, helping to make for an exciting but challenging round of golf.
The practice facilities for golfers at RedStick include a putting green, driving range, and chipping area. There are further amenities for members and their guests within the full-service clubhouse which has an excellent bar and restaurant and is also where players can find the Pro shop, locker rooms with showers.
