Built and opened in 2006 by famous course architect Jack Nicklaus, the Reunion Resort and Golf Club, Niklaus Course is one of three 18-hole layouts that can be found at the prestigious Kissimmee resort and hotel. This private, par 72 routing is the largest of the three signature courses at the Reunion Resort, each of which is known for its stylish design and challenging fairways.

Compared to its sister layouts, the Nicklaus Course is mostly surrounded by water throughout its 7,219-yards, so many golfers find this routing the most difficult. The longest par 4 on the back nine is located on the iconic 10th hole and requires a lengthy tee shot down a fairway that is protected on both sides by large bunkers. Here, an accurate approach is needed to navigate a green guarded by a menacing bunker in front. Once there, this undulating green will challenge even the best putters.

Meanwhile, Hole 16 is equally as popular as it is feared for its daunting carry-over water to a shallow, firm green protected in front and back by deep bunkers. Holding this putting surface is always a challenge but leaving the green with a par or better inspires golfers to finish strong.

Although beginners may find the Niklaus Course demanding, the Reunion Resort and Golf Club provides golfers with a wide option of practice facilities, such as an expansive driving range, chipping greens, and putting greens. Golf instruction is available through the resort’s onsite partners at the Golfzon Leadbetter Golf Academy, led by golf legend David Leadbetter. Rentals of carts and clubs are also offered inside if needed.

Those who prefer a more private play choose the Reunion Resort and Golf Club, Niklaus Course since it has a separate golf shop and clubhouse away from the two other layouts. Guests are free to roam around and access all the other facilities of the club and the resort, including the on-site restaurant.
