With an emphasis on strategic shot making this 6,478-metre, par 72 layout presents even the best players with considerable challenges.
In an innovative first for golf course architecture in this country, Thomson and Perrett designed the 18 holes, par 72 Champions course as a dedication to past champions of the Professional Golfers' Association of Australia. Holes on the sandbelt-styled layout feature a plaque near each tee as a tribute to the relevant skills and attributes of the past champion, after whom each hole has been dedicated.
