St Andrews Beach Golf Course

St Andrews Beach is nestled along the south-western coast of Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula, near the thundering surf of Gunnamatta Beach and the Bass Strait. This classic 18 hole links style members course debuted as the 9th best nationwide in 2006 before opening for public access play in 2009.

Designed by world-renowned course architect, Tom Doak, and former European Tour player turned golf course designer, Mike Clayton. The St Andrews Beach Course weaves across a spectacular stretch of land, evoking the famous links courses of the UK and Ireland, with a quality on par with the courses of the nearby Melbourne Sandbelt.

Doak's minimalist design philosophy combined with the unique St Andrews Beach landscape is fused together to create a pure golfing experience. Although measuring only a little over 6,000 meters, this par 70 layout offers some of the trickiest greens in the country.

This walk or cart course offers a chance to enjoy generous fairways, spectacular greens, and the roar of the ocean nearby. While most links-style courses tend to conjure the thought of unbearable winds and compromised play, the natural valleys and native trees at St Andrew's Beach provide protection from the elements.
