The Old Course at St Andrew's Links is considered the oldest golf course in the world and is commonly known as 'The Home of Golf'. Publicly accessible and situated on common land in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, St Andrews is held in trust under an act of Parliament. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews club house sits adjacent to the first tee, although it is but one of many clubs that have playing privileges on the course.

The 6,721-yard Old Course is largely the work of mother nature, although Alan Robertson (1848) is credited with creating the gigantic double greens and the infamous Road Hole. His protégé, Old Tom Morris, also made numerous revisions to aspects of the par 72 layouts.

The Swilcan Bridge, spanning the 1st and 18th holes, has become a famous icon for golf in the world. Everyone who plays the 18th hole walks over this 700-year-old bridge, and many iconic pictures of the farewells of the most iconic golfers in history have been taken on this bridge

St Andrews offers a myriad of golfing facilities including a Pro shop, experienced caddies, a driving range with 60 flood-lit bays and 22 indoor bays, a short game area, TrackMan Range, Custom-Fit Centre, Callaway Performance Centre, and world-class instruction is also available at the Golf Academy. The clubhouse that services the Old Course provides all standard clubhouse services and the Silwan Lounge is the perfect spot to dine or relax with a drink.
