Nestled amid 3,300-acres of pristine wetlands and woodlands, the 36-hole Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita is a stunning location for golfers and guests. The club property features 100-year old oak hammocks, a relative rarity in Florida. Then there's the Florida-famous lush greenery that offers year-round beauty throughout the grounds.
Look closer, and golfers will find that the two Stonegate golf courses are ingeniously woven into the fabric of the landscape. This provides players with some of the most beautiful vistas in the region when it comes to enjoying the game of golf. Originally designed by Joe Lee, Bruce Devlin, and Robert von Hagge, the layout was redesigned by Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton.
The Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita, Cypress Course now offers a more challenging layout than its predecessor. Fairways are still gently rolling and flanked by undisturbed century-old cypress trees, however, all greens have been expanded in size to feature undulation acceptable for much faster roll and some greens have now been bulk-headed for a truly spectacular visual effect.
The newer Cypress Course is a unique addition to the excellent golf facility at Stonegate Golf Club and creates a great 36-hole combination with its sister course, the Oaks. The Cypress Course has also won the distinction of being named on Golf Digest's list of “Best Places to Play.” The Cypress is the club's tougher course, whereas The Oaks Course is better suited for all levels of play. Both are open to visitors.
Amenities at Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita, Cypress Course includes a driving range, practice bunker, pitching and chipping area, putting green, golf school academy, teaching pro, bar, grill, restaurant, clubhouse locker rooms, and more.
