Surfers Paradise Golf Club and its 18-hole championship golf course is located in the heart of the Gold Coast and provides an attractive golfing opportunity featuring well-manicured fairways and greens. With a par of 71 and measuring 5,895-metres, the course provides a good mix of golfing conditions and strategic challenges. Not forgetting, the magnificent Queensland sunshine!
The layout was designed by then club captain Warwick Thomas and English-born Ken Eglit, who was one of the driving forces behind the formation of the club. All the holes on the course differ in their shape and size, each with its own distinctive characteristics adding to the overall diversity. Eglit and Thomas' work – laid out across less than 90-acres – has been tweaked over the decades but has largely withstood the test of time relatively unchanged.
The tree-lined fairways and strategically placed water hazards make Surfers Paradise a true test of golf. Possessing a fully automated, recycled watering system and natural drainage, the layout is playable, in superb condition, year-round. For those looking to improve their game Surfers, Paradise has a practice range, chipping and pitching area, putting greens, and a well-stocked Pro shop for any equipment needs.
Surfers Paradise Golf Club provides a unique setting with spectacular views of the picturesque golf course, offering the perfect backdrop for celebrations and functions. The clubhouse has a fully licensed bar and restaurant and offers a relaxed indoor or alfresco setting as well as a gaming area.
