Nestling beside the magnificent Ku-ring-gai National Park in Sydney's metropolitan north is one of Australia's best private golf clubs - Terrey Hills Golf and Country Club.
Officially opened in 1994 it was the first new course to be constructed in Sydney for over twenty years, at the time introducing a new system of membership ensuring the highest standards of prestige and exclusivity.
Terrey Hills has since become a highly regarded course and the club hosted the 2003 Women's Australian Open in 2003 won by Mhairi McKay of Scotland. Club members enjoy exclusive access to this immaculately conditioned 18-hole championship golf course which was recently voted by Golf Digest in 2018 as the best golf course on Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore as well as one of the four best in Sydney itself.
Construction of the par 72 layout involved the participation of seven companies, its advanced design, and superb visual appeal created by course architect Graham Marsh. The championship tees are strategically positioned to challenge low handicappers, while flexibility in the design of each hole accommodates the thinking, the conservative, and the adventurous golfer.
The newly renovated contemporary clubhouse offers both bar and dining options, complete with grand function rooms, private meeting rooms, club lounge, and driving range, which provide members a memorable and fun experience.
