Wente Vineyards is America's longest, continuously operated family-owned winery. Founded in 1883 it is recognized as one of California's premier wine country destinations and features wine tasting, dining, concert experiences, championship golf and more. Designed by golfing great Greg Norman, Wente Vineyard's 18-hole championship course is a picturesque, upscale, daily-fee golf course and is tucked away in the scenic Livermore Valley,50-minutes east of San Francisco.
One of the San Francisco Bay Area's premier golf courses, The Course at Wente Vineyards opened in July 1998 and cuts through the California vineyards offering a unique and beautiful setting that few public courses enjoy. With three distinct topographies, native woodlands, mature vineyards, and rolling hills of natural grasslands, the par 72 layout offers extraordinary visual panoramas and a diversity of play unmatched in the Bay Area.
The Course at Wente Vineyards is an excellent golf facility that features some of Greg Norman's best work to date and pays tribute to Dr. Alister MacKenzie by emulating his unique jagged style bunkers. The 7,181-yard routing features plenty of elevation changes throughout which leads to some towering drives and challenging approaches.
Designed for both novice and pro, Wente Vineyard's layout has played host to the Livermore Valley WineCountry Championship, part of the PGA Tour's Nationwide Tour. All club members and visitors to the course can take advantage of the practice areas and driving range. There is also a clubhouse along with bar and dining options as well as banquet and function spaces
