Located at Yering, Victoria, the members-only Eastern Golf Club is one of the oldest in the country, being able to trace its origins back to 1896. The club occupied a course at Doncaster in 1924 and was relocated to its beautiful new home on the Yarra River in July 2015.

The Eastern Golf Club's 27-hole course has been designed with quality and playability in mind. With a philosophy to create an environment in harmony with the broader landscape, The Eastern Golf Club commissioned Greg Norman Golf Course Design (GNGCD) to design the 27-hole championship standard course plus Shark Waters - a par 3 nine-hole course.

The course, which can be played in three different par 72 configurations, is a second shot course with an emphasis on good iron play and course management to score well. The South course (holes 1-18) and the North course (holes 10-27) both rank inside Golf Australia Magazine's Top 100 Australian courses. The East course (holes 19-27 and 1-9) is an interesting variation on the order in which holes are approached.

The Eastern Golf Club's layout complements the existing topography whilst ensuring the spectacular natural features of the stunning setting and dramatic views of the surrounding Christmas Hills and Dividing Ranges are maximized to enrich the playing experience. The fairways are wide and generous although approaching the green from the right angle is important to creating birdie opportunities.? The green complexes are where most of the challenges lie but there are always escape routes for the more conservative golfer. There are also five tee options available that accommodate all levels of players.

Recently opened to member play, the stunning par 3 nine-hole, Shark Waters, showcasing the spectacular beauty of the wetlands offers members and guests who have time constraints with a shorter playing option whilst providing an environment that is perfectly suited to all levels of golfer, from juniors and beginners through to the professional honing their game.

Complementing the 27-hole championship course and first-class practice facilities, The TaylorMade Performance Centre offers a range of golf development programs for players of all abilities and also houses the gymnasium. The club also has multiple tennis courts and is the largest provider of tennis in the northeast of Victoria.

The Eastern Golf Club Sports Shop is a one-stop-shop for all golfing needs and the clubhouse possesses views of the surrounding golf course and Christmas Hills whilst providing bar and dining options to members. The dining room, outdoor terrace, and other function spaces allow the club to cater for both private and corporate events.
