The Oaks Club is a private golf community known for establishing a unique golf culture. Members strive for excellence at the game and enjoy the sport. The Oaks Club has two 18-hole golf courses: the Heron Course and the Eagle Course.
The Eagle Course, known for its beauty and strategic challenges, was designed by golf architect Willard Byrd. It is a par 72 championship course 7003 yards long from its longest tee. Its slope rating is 150, and its USGA rating is 75.1. The famous golf architect Arthur Hills furnished this course in 2007, substantially making it a heavy favorite compared to the other courses for quite some time.
The Eagle Course is known for its challenging layout, generous fairways, and fast, undulating greens, and featuring strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. This course offers eight sets of different tees with yardage ranging from 4,426 to 7,003 yards. The Eagle has more bunkers than the Heron, and the water plays more in this course.
The Eagle Course boasts several signature holes that stand out for their unique design and difficulty. The challenging par-3 on Hole 7 requires golfers to navigate water hazards precisely. Hole 14 presents a demanding par-5 with a narrow fairway, requiring strategic shot placement. Finally, Hole 18 is a memorable finish, testing skills with water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout.
The Oaks Club has world-class practice facilities, including a large putting green where players can work on their longer putts. The driving range, bunker, and pitching/chipping area are all well-maintained to work as expected. The staff of this golf course is also very friendly, including the teaching pros who are available to help the players.
