Just minutes north of Greater Orlando, hidden among the rolling hills of Central Florida, The Plantation Golf Club, Cranes Roost Course is an 18-hole layout, designed by the architectural team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton in 1996. The par 71 routing measures a leisurely 5,863-yards, slightly shorter than Otter Creek, its sister course.
The Plantation Golf Club, Cranes Roost Course is a semi-private layout mostly covered with quality Tifdwarf grass and Bermuda grass to maintain the routing's pristine condition and is open for club members and the public. Since this routine is quite short many deem the layout ideal for beginners who are just starting to play golf. Not to mention, the course has a complete set of practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green, and pitching green.
At Cranes Roost, golf teaching professionals welcome golfers of all skill levels by implementing hands-on training to help players improve their game and enjoy their time on the course. For relaxation, the clubhouse has an on-site restaurant where golfers can unwind and dine on mouthwatering meals while looking at the beautiful foliage surrounding the course.
In 2021, The Plantation HOA decided to purchase the entire grounds of the golf course and manage its maintenance. Both of the Plantation Golf Club's 18-hole courses are now run by the Plantation at Leesburg Golf Course LLC, which is comprised of a five-member Board of Directors.
