The Seagate Country Club is a world-class golf and country club featuring one of the finest championship golf courses in all of Palm Beach County. The club and its recently restored course are now open to members and hotel guests of The Seagate Hotel and Spa for the first time in 40 years.
The 18-hole championship-style golf course at The Seagate Country Club isn't for everyone. Those looking for a quick and easy game won't find it here, but for those up for a challenge, this course will set their hearts racing. Formerly known as The Hamlet Course, and originally designed by noted golf architect Joe Lee, the par 72 layout at Seagate was recently restored by Gene Bates of Bates Golf Design Group, with consultation from PGA Tour golfer, Jeff Sluman.
The careful renovation remained true to the spirit of the original design while bringing the course up to date with advanced technology that didn't exist at the course's start in 1973. Stretched across 300-acres, the 7,103-yard routing winds among stocked bass ponds with plenty of natural wildlife nearby. The greens now feature TIF Eagle grass, while the tree-lined fairways and tee boxes have been updated with Celebration Bermuda grass. There are a total of 91 bunkers with new G-Angle, manmade sand, and enhanced drainage while the cart paths have been lined with coquina shells.
Seagate Country Club's new practice facility features a fully outfitted driving, putting green, short game pitching, and bunker areas, as well as a staff of international and domestic PGA professionals. Additionally, the club features a full-service clubhouse, fitness center, pool, Har-Tru tennis courts, casual and fine dining, and banquet space for special events.
