The Yacht and Country Club of Stuart are situated in coastal Stuart, Florida, home to the renowned beaches of Hutchinson Island and award-winning fishing in Port Salerno. The Yacht and Country Club of Stuart were founded in 1963, although the current layout was built in 1971 by Charlie Martin and Charles Ankrom, before further refinement in 1976 by Thomas Pearson. The par 71 course is a challenging proposition for any golfer. Playing to 6,463-yards from the longest tees this well-maintained routing is quite technical and features several water hazards that require careful shot selection and good execution.
The course was updated in 2006 by Ed Seay and Tom Walker and this, coupled with a multi-million dollar renovation of the course and clubhouse has made the layout more friendly for beginner golfers while maintaining the challenge for those with low handicaps.
Members and their guests have access to driving ranges and practice facilities without tee time restrictions. Further amenities include the clubhouse, gourmet dining, fitness center, swimming pool, tennis, bocce, croquet, and pickleball courts.
