Twin Waters Golf Club is centrally located and easily accessible on the Sunshine Coast, just an hour's drive north from Brisbane.
The course is internationally recognized as one of the top six resort courses in Australia. The 18 hole championship course was designed by five times British Open champion Peter Thomson and partner Michael Wolveridge. The stunning setting and challenging layout combine to produce an enjoyable game of golf for all players.
Despite the warm and humid climate, the philosophies of links golf have been fully integrated into the layout, making it an interesting golfing test. Many physical characteristics of the British game are evident including gently rolling fairways, small pot bunkers, patches of thick tussock rough, and large firm greens with subtle slopes.
This par 72 members course is open to the public and can be played either walk or cart. The 8th is the signature hole on the course with the pot bunker beside the green resembling the famous St Andrews Road Hole bunker.
The beautiful native flora and fauna of the site also offer a distinctly Australian slant on the ancient game - nowhere else are your bump and run shots likely to be so carefully watched by galleries of kangaroos.
The Twin Waters Golf Club clubhouse has bar and dining facilities and can cater for events in its function spaces. There is also tennis available together with the driving range and pro shop.
