A beautiful layout for every golfer in The Villages, Florida, the Volusia Executive Golf Course is a perfect routing for all handicaps, from novice players to the most expert ones. This nine hole golf course includes several sets of tees and features slight to moderate elevation changes making it ideal for those who are looking for a fun, enjoyable casual round throughout the day.
Beginning on the first hole with a climb to the top of a hill, once on the second tee golfers will see views that are seen only at Volusia. They’ll also be welcomed with the well-maintained greens of the layout, which are consistently well presented throughout the routing. The long fairways on the first few holes make Volusia suitable for veteran golfers and the latter part of the third hole and the 7th can make or break anyone’s game thanks to the presence of lakes on both holes.
The par 28 golf course follows a private membership protocol, similar to every executive layout at The Villages. All residents of The Villages golf and retirement community have a free pass to walk the course, so expect that most casual golfers in the routing reside within a walking distance or a short golf cart ride away.
Measuring 1,514-yards from the longest tees, the Volusia Executive Golf Course was built in 2015 and designed by noted golf architecture firm, Clifton, Ezell and Clifton. Although there are no practice facilities specifically located at the Volusia routing, several teaching professionals are available to aid golfers, novice or not.
As a Villager, golfers can play complimentary golf at Sarasota as well as the 40+ executive golf courses within The Villages. Green fees on the all the executive courses are non-existent for residents who are not charged for walking any of the layouts. They can also elect to purchase an Executive Golf Trail Pass, which provides them with the use of their own personal golf cart on all executive courses for the entire household that can be paid daily, monthly, semi-annually, or annually.
