One of two beautiful layouts located not far from Plant City, Florida, the Walden Lake Golf and Country Club, Lakes Course’s 18-hole routing offers views of nature and scenic landscapes at every turn. This par 72 golf course is open year-round to club members and the public alike, allowing everyone to appreciate the surrounding gorgeous scenery and the private 65-acre Walden Lake.
Opened in 1987 and designed by architect Ron Garl, this semi-private golf course measures 6,561 yards from the longest tees and has four sets of tees that provide a fair challenge to all golfers. Most of the trickiest holes are surrounded by water and sand traps. The towering trees lining the fairways also offer unique challenges to players.
Although deemed by most golfers as a difficult layout, the Walden Lake Golf and Country Club is perfect for beginners or veterans trying to get back into the sport again. With the help of on-site teaching professionals, any golfer can use the country club’s driving range, pitching green, putting green, and practice bunker to work on their game.
Once inside the golf course grounds, players are welcomed by the courteous staff members of the country club. They also assist golfers with rentals of carts and clubs, as well as offer a premier set of golf apparel and gear inside its fully stocked Pro shop. Aside from golf, guests can make use of other facilities including a swimming pool, a fitness center, a tennis court, and a billiards room. The country club’s function venue is available for rent inside the clubhouse. A catering service is available, serving food from Walden’s on-site bar and restaurant, for up to hundreds of guests.

Located in a traditional small-town setting, the Walden Lake Golf and Country Club is a lakeside waterfront community nestled around a 62-acre lake. There are 30 well-established subdivisions in the community and two apartment complexes, making it one of the largest residential neighborhoods in Hillsborough County.
Approximately 16 to 250 golf homes can be found in each of the Walden Lake sub-division. Residents in this community have access to a wide array of amenities, including two golf courses, a Sports Complex, a pavilion for picnics, kid and dog parks, nature trails, and much more.
Since the community is larger than most neighborhoods in Plant City, Walden Lake has its own ‘town hall’ where the friendly, professional staff administers all community maintenance, security, and business affairs.
