Winged Foot Golf Club is a private club with two 18-hole golf courses located in Mamaroneck, New York. The founders of Winged Foot had a remarkable and ambitious vision for the club at its inception and sort one of the most prominent golf architects of the day, A. W. Tillinghast, to build the courses. The result is one of the pre-eminent golf clubs in the United States.

Opened in 1923, it took only six years for Winged Foot to be selected by the USGA to hold an Open and the club became recognized nationally when the USGA awarded the 1929 U.S. Open to Winged Foot's West Course. To this day, Winged Foot West is "the youngest" course in history to be so honored.

The famous and highly regarded par 72 West Course was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019, as the last course, Tillinghast designed. Following a 2015 renovation by Gil Hanse, the layout is now much more open and playable as the fairways are no longer as heavily restricted by Norway Spruce. The greens have also been restored to Tillinghast's original design with curled and slumped edges making them particularly challenging.

During its formation, the club hired respected architect Clifford Wendehack to build a clubhouse in the Tudor Scholastic style and this magnificent structure maintains all the classic elements of its original design. Here members can relax in either the bar or restaurant after their caddied round and for those looking to work on their game Winged Foot has ample practice facilities alongside the Pro shop including a driving range, putting green and a chipping green.
