Opened in the 1978, the 18-hole Zephyrhills Municipal Golf Course has been a local favorite for more than 30 years. It is one of the area's most popular public golf courses, and its convenient location, just 30-minutes from Tampa Bay's attractions, make it appealing to visitors from out of town as well.
The layout is a short 5,054-yards and offers a player-friendly round filled with many challenges.
The fairways are in good shape, and the greens are always well presented. Water hazards in the form of lakes and meandering streams come into play throughout the course and, although the bunkering may be sparse, it’s strategically placed.
Zephyrhills City Golf Course is approachable for beginners, but more advanced players will also enjoy it for a quick practice round. This municipal course is a great location to work on alternative shot selections and iron play, and while it may not win an award for the best course in Florida, it is still provides a great round at very inexpensive rates.
The staff are also known for being friendly and will quickly provide help when needed. In fact, the municipal golf course is known for having the friendliest staff in Zephyrhills and the moment players arrive they will immediately feel that they’re welcome. Amenities at the club include a driving range, putting green, a pitching and chipping area for golfers to sharpen their swing.
