The Location - 17 The Dunes is situated in an ideal location just opposite National Park which offers a lovely reserve with bike tracks, playground, picnic tables, BBQ's, boat ramp, surf club, and eateries (Saltwater restaurant and Longboat Cafe). Then hidden behind the reserve is the fabulous Fingal Bay Beach, only 100m from the unit! This beach offers a pristine white beach and clear waters, the beach is patrolled offering safe swimming, surfing, fishing, and kayaking. Fingal Bay Beach has its own island connected by a sand-spit, The spit at the north end links Fingal Island to the mainland, on low tide you can walk across to the island (with caution) to visit the Fingal lighthouse and the amazing views it offers. Fingal Bay has an abundance of bush tracks to discover with 20 kilometres of rocky coastline ideal for bushwalking, fishing and exploring with guests who stay between May and November having a good chance of spotting humpback whales from Barry Park. Shoal Bay is approx 2km away and the township of Nelson Bay is 5km away.
The Unit - This inviting and homely second-floor holiday unit offers comfortable furnishings in a secure complex opposite the beach. The carpeted open plan living area provides a sitting area with a large suede corner lounge, 42inch LCD TV, and DVD. The dining area offers a timber dining setting, a CD Player, and a selection of books. The spacious functional kitchen offers plenty of bench space, a dishwasher, wall oven, stovetop, microwave, and full-size fridge/freezer. This open plan area flows through to an undercover balcony through glass sliding doors, with outdoor setting, private BBQ, and National Park views.
