Survey: Has Coronavirus increased Membership and Rounds played?

Coronavirus

It's been a tough time for Golf over the last six months with social distancing, restrictions, self-isolation and  lock downs.  With golf  initially being banned in a number of states in Australia, USA and various other countries around the world, many of us were left puzzled as to why this would be the case?

Golf seemed like the perfect activity in which to be involved, providing plenty of exercise with golfers walking approximately 6 to 7km ( 3.7 to 4.4 miles) for 18 holes, receiving the benefit of connecting with friends, enjoying the sunshine and getting some exercise as well as getting out of the house.  Of course, the social distancing requirements have demanded a change in practices on the Courses for activities such golf ball hygiene, raking bunkers, using carts and closure of hospitality venues in the Club or on the Course.

More recently we have seen some reports that Coronavirus has been good for golf, with Membership and Championship Rounds increasing and, in some cases, dramatically. Increases in Rounds played have ranged from modest growth to as high as 40 to 50%, in some cases.

So, we would love to hear from you with the experience of your Golf Club.  We have designed a very short Survey, less than 10 questions, which will take about 60 seconds to complete.  It's available by clicking here

While we are pleased to share the results to all participating Golf Clubs, the Survey results will remain anonymous we will not attribute any results to any specific Course or Club.   We look forward to receiving your response as soon as you can complete it and thank you in advance.
