As avid golfers, we all like to play our favourite home course as well as venture a little further to play new and different courses from time to time. The distance might be minimal, within our own Golf Community or suburb, or could be in another town, city, state or even another country.

So how far do golfers want to travel to play on an alternate Course? And, how many Courses located nearby is a good number? Most golfers we asked suggested two or three Courses located within 10 to 30 minutes drive provides an adequate choice of Courses to play including a favourite home Course as well as alternative Courses to play from time to time.

Meadowview Estate, a gated Golf Community in Carrara, Queensland, Australia recently caught our attention. Our research discovered this Community has no less than nine golf Courses within 1 to 12 minutes drive and another two courses within 20 minutes drive! This must rank highly in being one of the most golfed (as defined by the number of courses) areas in Australia and possibly, the World!
