Built steadily over 50 years, Rolling Hills was designed as a golf course community with custom golf homes on oversized lots. Part of a development of more than 1,200 golf homes the Rolling Hills Golf Club of Florida community is situated around the club’s, now closed, golf course and will enjoy continuous park development.
Situated just north of Orlando, in Central Florida's Seminole County, this high end golf community is located on Interstate 4 and State Road 434. Great schools, the rich history of nearby Longwood, the ease of commuting to Orlando, and great real estate value, are just some of the many reasons residents choose to live at Rolling Hills.
After the closure of Rolling Hills Golf Club of Florida in 2014, the former 100-acre Rolling Hills golf course was purchased by the County. Now the course is being converted into a county park. It will have a nature trail, a picnic pavilion, pet areas, gardens, playgrounds, volleyball courts, and bicycle access. When the park is complete, it will be a passive park with no organized leagues for sports. The county is still determining the final designs for the project, but prospective golf property buyers can expect a place where they and their families can make great memories.
Single family homes and golf estates are common in Rolling Hills, ranging in size from 1,300-square feet to 6,200-square feet and up, priced accordingly from approximately $300,000 to more than $2,000,000. Golf houses may feature three to eight-bedroom and two to eleven-bathroom floor plans, plus space for at least two and more cars in the garage. Inside most golf homes, residents are welcomed with expansive living rooms and spacious dining rooms. Golf home buyers will also be able to find granite countertops, gas fireplaces, rooms with high ceilings, master suites with large windows, and private swimming pools.
Known for its gentler pace of life, with a bit of luxury, both the Rolling Hills Golf Club of Florida and Longwood have become some of the more popular suburbs for Orlando residents looking for a little more space to call home. Recently, the city was ranked one of the top 10 best places to live in Florida by Bestplaces.com. It also received recognition as the 9th best suburb in Florida.
Surrounding the golf properties of the Rolling Hills community are many activities that residents can enjoy with family and friends. Nearby Wekiva Island is one of the more popular attractions, whilst nearby Longwood is home to Big Tree Park, Candyland Park, and Aiguille Rock Climbing Center. And, although the Rolling Hills Golf Club of Florida’s layout is now closed, golfers can still find many excellent golf courses surrounding the neighborhood.
Shopping and dining are not lost for those relocating to Rolling Hills. The Longwood Lakes Shopping Center is a popular spot, while the Altamonte Mall and the Seminole Town Center are just a short drive away. Moreover, residents have easy access to many of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Some of these include the beaches of the Atlantic Coast, Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, and Wet N' Wild. The area also presents homeowners with endless opportunities to partake in outdoor activities like hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and camping.
