A quiet , hidden sanctuary inside a beautiful and well-maintained area of Kissimmee, The Oaks Golf Club and Community is a lakeside waterfront golf neighborhood with access to a range of facilities and ideal for all kinds of lifestyles. This tranquil Osceola County community is known for its rich greenery and the presence of plenty of wildlife that only enhances the relaxing, almost insulated atmosphere of the neighborhood.
The majority of the Oaks’ golf homes surround the 134-acre public golf course within the community. Many of the golf properties are single-family homes with two to seven-bedroom and two to six-bathroom floor plans, with living spaces ranging from 1,035-square feet to as expansive as over 4,000-square feet. Among the inclusions in most golf residences at The Oaks are two to three-car garages, private swimming pools, newly finished and freshly fitted open floor plan designs, and much more.
At The Oaks Golf Club and Community prospective golf property buyers can avail themselves of a single-family golf home priced from approximately $380,000 to $500,000. Most golf properties enjoy views looking out over the golf course and its magnificent 100-year oaks which are the signature of the course, or the Makinson Island Conservation Area which sits adjacent to the community on its eastern side.
Low density housing and low congestion are some of best aspects of daily life at The Oaks Golf Club and Community compared to many other planned neighborhoods in Osceola County and throughout Florida. The Oaks residents experience peaceful daily living, that truly feels hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Florida’s large cities yet close to numerous attractions, restaurants and bars, shopping malls, etc.
In 2022, the Kothari Group, the landowner of The Oaks golf course, announced plans for a residential redevelopment. According to the proposed plan, approximately 41-acres of the golf course will be used to build some 50 single-family townhouses and 400 single-family golf homes. These new golf properties will range in size from about 700-square feet to more than 1,400-square feet. The landowner says that the high-quality new housing will introduce new property value growth to existing golf homes in the community, and new property tax revenue for local schools.
The proposed development will provide residents the opportunity to live in a golf community surrounded by 63% shared open space where homeowners and visitors can recreate, exercise, and entertain. If approved, Kothari plans to construct more amenities inside The Oaks including a robust trail system, docks for kayaking activities, exercise areas, children’s playground areas, several multi-purpose pavilions, community gardens, and multiple tennis courts.
