Zellwood Station Country Club is a 55+ golf community that provides affordable retirement living at its best. A quiet area tucked into the rolling hills of Northwest Orange County, yet convenient to Apopka and Mt Dora, Zellwood Station is the perfect spot for active retirees on a budget.
This gated, golf course, and manufactured home community is just 30-miles from downtown Orlando and only two miles from the 429 Expressway, providing easy access to the city center, the Orlando International Airport, Disney World, and so much more.
With over 1,120 golf homes situated on rolling hills and tree-lined streets, this well-planned neighborhood offers the Zellwood Station Country Club as well as plenty of other amenities to its residents. This resort-style community covers 800-acres of land, and while many the golf properties at Zellwood Station were built in 1975, the community has continued to develop over the years. Midsize single family golf homes range in size from 768-square feet to over 2,500-square feet and are reasonably priced from approximately $120,000 to $230,000.
These golf homes can have one to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and a one or two car garage. Other common features include an open floor plan, real hardwood floors and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as new built-in kitchen and laundry appliances. These golf properties can also have walk-in closets, high ceilings, crown molding, and more.
The homeowners association fee to this community is very reasonable, varying by property from around $150 to $280 per month. The monthly maintenance fee includes the community's 24-hour security gate, plus community patrols, lawn mowing, garbage and yard waste disposal, a weekly bus provided for grocery/mall shopping, a storage area for boats and RV'S, and unlimited use of all community amenities (except for golf amenities).
One major reason why retirees choose Zellwood is its weather. Thanks to the Florida sun residents can enjoy the community’s countless amenities year round. Facilities include swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing lakes, a fitness center, billiards room, pickleball courts, and shuffleboard. Many residents also spend their days and evening enjoying bingo nights, woodworking classes, trivia nights, arts and crafts classes, bowling teams, pinochle, jazz exercise, and pot luck dinners.
The golf course at Zellwood Station Golf Club is also popular among residents. Designed by George Maddox in 1974, the course offers something for everyone with its great greens and hilly terrain. It’s a stunning layout, and each hole has its own challenges. Located not far from Lake Apopka and with many other lakes just a short drive away, residents can also enjoy plenty of water activities. Zellwood Station Country Club is a quiet destination outside of Orlando that provides plenty of activities for retirees who want to live in a community that is as engaging as it is relaxing.
