George M. Clifton
George M. Clifton following a golf scholarship at Daytona Beach Community College, George went on to the University of Florida to study Horticulture and Architectural Drawing, just as his father Lloyd M. Clifton, Sr. had done. Since 1975, George worked with his father, making drafting plans and scaled drawings. In fact, his concept and detailed drawings are well-renowned in golf.
Before the conception of Clifton Ezell Clifton Golf Design Group in 1987, George represented several leading suppliers of fertilizers, chemicals, and seeds to the Florida golf market. Today, he is part of a small, dedicated team that continues to provide a personal touch and responsive approach to golf course design.
