Troy Vincent
As President of Vincent Design, LLC, Troy Vincent is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and has been actively involved in the golf course industry for over 20 years. A native of Augusta, Georgia, and growing up in an area with rich history and traditions of the great game of golf had a profound impact on Troy from a very early age.
Upon graduating from The University of Georgia with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Vincent began to pursue his long-time passion of becoming a golf course architect, a discipline that is learned and not formally taught. Troy's first opportunity was presented by Gene Bates of Bates Golf Design in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Gene quickly exposed Troy to many facets of the industry including design and plan document preparation.
Working for a small firm allowed Troy to gain insights into a wide variety of perspectives involved in the design process. After a year, Jack Nicklaus's design firm, Nicklaus Design came calling and offered Troy the opportunity to work with the largest golf course design firm in the world.
Nicklaus Design became home for Troy for 15 years and he served as Design Associate before forming his own design firm. A highly creative and multitalented golf course architect, Troy's award-winning golf courses around the world have played host to PGA, Senior PGA, LPGA, and European Tour events.
