The three championship courses at BallenIsles were originally designed by two of the most highly-acclaimed golf course architects of the era: Dick Wilson and Joe Lee. Over the years all three have been enhanced with innovative updates so that they play at a championship level from the back tees and as very accessible routings from the forward tees for those of more modest skill levels.
First built in 1963 the par 72 BallenIsles Country Club, East Course winds through several wildlife habitat areas that are sanctuaries for waterfowl and exotic birds. This 7,189-yard layout was further enhanced in 2008 by a Keith Foster and Kevin Hargrave renovation which included the planting of 2,600 additional trees and 20,000 new plants and shrubs. The greens were also formed to meet current United States Golf Association standards and the bunkers were reshaped to be more visible from the tee box areas.
The club has a Pro Shop and a range of practice amenities for golfers and there is a range of bar and dining options at the clubhouse. There are numerous other activities at the 65,000-square foot Sports Complex that overlook the resort-style pool and 23-court tennis facility ranked number one in the country by the USTA. BellenIsles can also cater to functions and has several event spaces.
