Coomba Park Golf and Country Club operate out of the Sandbar Golf Club, in the North Coast region of New South Wales. Approximately two hours north of the city of Newcastle, the site is within the town of Pacific Palms. A popular holiday region, the course itself is a small, 9-hole parkland-style course located close to Symes Bay.

With bushland surrounds and sandy subsoil from the nearby beach, the course naturally undulates gently. There are several shallow bunkers that can be avoided by well-considered tee and second shots, but their upkeep is of a high enough standard that they can be easily wedged out of. The course consists of 5 par 3s and 4 par 4s.

The 5th requires a drive across a dam that sits close to the tee box, with the fairway maneuvering to the 'postage stamp' sized green. An extremely straight, direct-drive, and goodput is enough to make birdie on this par 3. The 9th features the most adventurous design on the course, doglegging before a bunker-protected elevated green.

The Coomba Park Golf and Country Club course is well conditioned and much upkeep has been at the hands of Coomba Park's volunteers. There are 20 tees throughout, aiding a variety of skill levels. Club competitions are held every second Sunday with non-members welcome.
