Cypress Lakes Homeowners Golf Course is a private 18-hole executive golf course located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The original course designed by Ron Garl was a par 3 with 9-holes. It opened in 1989 which later became the front nine of the course. The back nine followed suit in 1994 and was designed by Bill Dietsch.
A par 57 with a maximum distance of 1,763 yards, the golf course has only one tee. The Cypress Lakes Homeowners Golf Course front fairways are undulated and narrower and tighter than the back. The greens are also sloped and smaller. The back fairways are longer and flatter with wider putting surfaces. It also has 3 par 4s located at Holes 11th, 12th, and 15th. The fairways are topped with Bermuda Grass and the greens with Tifdwarf Grass. This makes the greens fast and adds an extra challenge to the game.
An interesting tidbit about the course is Hole 9 and Hole 10 share the same green. Also, almost all of the holes are pretty much a straight shot with varying obstacles except for Hole 15 which is a left dogleg. It is also the longest at 223 yards. Overall, the course is simple and easy to play.
A teaching pro is available for instructions. The practice facility includes a pitching and chipping area, and a putting green. Clubs and carts are also available for rent.
