The Everglades Club is a social club located in Palm Beach, Florida, that features the very private 18-hole Everglades Golf Course Palm Beach. Initially built in 1918, the club was intended to be a hospital for the wounded of World War I. However, the war ended a few months after it opened, and it changed into a private club.

The club commenced operations in January 1919 with a main building, tennis courts, eight separate villas, a parking garage, and a yacht basin. Paris Singer was the club president, and he determined who could become a member.

In 1920, Addison Mizner oversaw further development of the Everglades Club and it is generally regarded as one of the biggest successes of his career. The club has hosted functions for elite Florida families, including Pulitzer, Vanderbilt, Dodge, Phipps, and Sanford. It also hosted events for the Huttons of E.F. Hutton and Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Everglades Golf Club takes “private” to the extreme and not much information is known regarding the club. It is believed that it has around 1,000 members, although the club does not provide a members list. Everglades does not have a logo, signage, or website and does not allow cellphones on the golf course and offices. Members are also strongly discouraged from taking photos at the club.

Famed golf course architect Seth Raynor designed the Everglades golf course in 1958. It is situated on a stunning section of the property between A1A and Lake Worth Lagoon. Other golf architects who assisted with the course are Brian Silva, Jan Bel Jan, and Mark Mahannah.

The par 70 Everglades Golf Course Palm Beach features 6,017-yards of golf from the longest tees and the club also offers players practice areas for pitching and chipping, a putting green, driving range, and golf lessons.
