Fort Lauderdale Country Club offers 36-holes of private championship golf, a large range of practice facilities, and a welcoming membership. The club is located just five miles from the beaches on the border between Fort Lauderdale and Plantation making it very convenient for members and guests traveling from either Fort Lauderdale or Plantation, as well as many neighborhoods in surrounding Broward County.
Unlike most Florida golf courses, Fort Lauderdale Country Club's trees, rolling hills, and bunker configurations can mentally place the golfer in the northeast United States. And, with exceptional drainage, members are out enjoying the courses and practice facilities typically well before other local courses are open for play.
A competitive tournament schedule keeps members engaged, along with daily pick-up games to suit everyone's schedule and ability level. The women's golfing program is the largest in the county with numerous events during the season, alongside regular programs with both nine and 18-hole rounds during the week for both beginners and seasoned players.
Fort Lauderdale Country Club's par 72 South Course offers golfers manicured tees, well-groomed fairways, manageable rough, and smooth, quick-rolling greens. First designed and built-in 1926 by Joseph A. Roseman the course has been remodeled and renovated several times by course architects Red Lawrence, Charles Ankrom, and, most recently, Kipp Schulties. Playing much like a links course the South's routing stretches to a modest 6,661-yards and enjoys scenic vistas and an open layout free of homes.
The country club also features a beautiful clubhouse which was also recently renovated and has many dining and social options from which members can choose. The club can also host private events, catering to functions both large and small.
