The Legends Golf and Country Club is a challenging yet scenic golf course with 18 holes. This private layout is a Joe Lee, designed architectural masterpiece, where golfers can easily calculate the strategy to the hole. In 2010, Kipp Schulties renovated the routing by installing TifEagle greens, Tifgrande Surrounds, Celebration tees, fairways, and roughs.
Every golf hole at Legends Golf and Country Club requires an accurate shot, yet all are enjoyable with no blind shots or tricked-up water hazards. Here, seven sets of tees range from 4,913 yards to 6,650 yards. Set among palms, oaks, and cypress preserves are 70 fairways and green bunkers. Water can come into play on 14 holes. There are only three forced water carry holes, the longest being approximately 40 yards. The rest of the trouble is either right or left with ample landing areas.
The par 72 golf course is friendly to golfers of all skill levels. However, experienced players get more rewarded. Thus, all beginners, or those who aren't casual players, are advised to use the club's practice facilities for their benefit.
Legends Aqua Range offers four targeted greens to help improve accuracy with its well over 300 yards. In addition to the Aqua Range, a chipping green can accommodate shots up to 25 yards, a practice bunker, and a 12,000-square-foot putting green. Whether playing a round or just working on one's game, the course and its amenities are open seven days a week.
The golf shop is the place to find all the equipment needed. The club carries an assortment of balls, golf bags, shoes, and clubs to meet the needs of the beginner to scratch player. There are demo clubs for one to try, and Demo Days are scheduled throughout the season. Dining opportunities and other amenities like a fitness center and swimming pool areas are also available for members at Legends Golf.
