Set in magnificent natural bush midway between Inverloch and Leongatha, in Victoria's south-east, is Leongatha Golf Club.
This beautiful all-weather course was designed by Vernon Morcom, who with his brother was the course architect for many of Australia's top courses. Rated in the top 100 public access courses in Australia, the 18 holes at Leongatha are varied and challenging.
Wide Santa-ana couch fairways provide excellent all-year playing conditions and are flanked with magnificent trees, rising from the natural surroundings that support a variety of local flora and fauna. Pleasantly, no matter the number of players on the course, Leongatha retains a sense of quiet seclusion.
Leongatha Golf Club is a classic Morcom design that has long been a hidden treasure in Victoria's South Gippsland region. It is a scenic layout that covers terrain from hilly to gently rolling. The course also has an interesting and undulating set of well-maintained green complexes.
This publicly accessible course has carts available to golfers as well as a practice fairway. The clubhouse also has a bistro with function facilities.
