A true mountain golf course, the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole layout that has significant hilly terrain, which is rare in most Florida-based routings. Challenging golfers at any level, beginners or professionals, and measuring 7,005-yards from the longest tees, the semi-private golf course is open to the public and offers reasonable green fees.
In 2021, the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club was closed to all club members and the public for an extensive scheduled renovation, re-design, and rebrand. Under new owners, the club will have a new name The Clermont National Golf Course, and is slated to reopen in September 2022.
Several changes are expected to be made in the reconstruction of the club including notable improvements in the putting green, a restaurant that will have a beautiful patio outside the clubhouse, and a driving range. Before this redesign the par 71 golf course was originally developed by architect Terrill LaGree in 1999, with included space for a pitching green, putting green, Pro Shop, and banquet facilities.
The friendly staff of Sanctuary Ridge also offers clubs and cart rentals. Also, beginners can ask to join the golf school academy to learn the basics of the game. Inside the clubhouse, there's the spacious 19th hole restaurant and bar for guests, wherein the master chefs serve mouthwatering breakfast and lunch daily. The Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club also accommodates private gatherings and events for all.
