Graeme Grant
Prior to entering design, Graeme Grant was regarded as one of Australia's leading golf course superintendents. He worked for many years at Kingston Heath and successfully introduced the Santa Ana couch to the club's famous fairways.
His golfing background and the realization that effective and economic course management relies upon quality design and construction led to the beginning of a life-long passion - golf course architecture. A former director and principal designer of Newton, Grant & Spencer, Graeme Grant has been in the business of course design for over 30-years.
The practical experience of 'hands-on' design and the sabbatical tours to play and study the renowned British and American courses enables Graeme to create golf holes of a classical nature with all the modern trimmings. The redesign of many greens at Kingston Heath and the new Links Lady Bay course is a testament to his knowledge and ability. He is able to blend his work with the likes of Alister MacKenzie and also create new courses that can be recognized amongst the finest in Australia.
