Developed in 1988, with a unique layout and design, it received recognition from Golf Digest as “One of the top 50 public courses in Florida”.
The par 71 Atlantic National Golf Course measures 6,519 yards from the back and 5,016 yards from the front tees. There are 4 colored tees to accommodate different levels of players.
The course has a challenging layout with lots of varieties. Most of the holes are influenced by water hazards with strategically placed bunkers protecting the approach and the green sides. The few holes left leave you to cross a large swathe of sand to get to the greens. Expect also to encounter doglegs in more than half of the holes. The fairways are covered with Bermuda and the slick and fast greens with TifEagle grass.
This course will really put your game to the test. It has a course rating of 70.6 and a slope rating of 130. GolfPass gives it a high rating of 4.4 out of 5. Meaning it is highly recommended.
The Atlantic National Golf Course also offers a grass driving range, a chipping area with a practice bunker, and two putting greens. Clubs can be rented and carts are included in the green fees. A well-stocked pro shop is conveniently available too.
