Established in 1927 the Glenelg Golf Club is a members-only golf club located in the Adelaide suburb of Novar Gardens and only five minutes from the seaside suburb of Glenelg. It is situated adjacent to the southern boundary of Adelaide International Airport and within easy access of the Adelaide CBD.

Neil Crafter, in association with Bob Tuohy, completed an extensive remodeling of the course in 1998 following on from the original design by Herbert 'Cargie' Rymill that was later refined by Vern Morcom in 1948. Now, this 18-hole course measures 6,267-metres, with gently undulating couch grass fairways, bent grass greens, and revetted-edge style bunkering providing their own unique characteristics reminiscent of the traditional Scottish links courses. Pine Hill, one of the highest points on the Adelaide Plains, is the major feature of the par 71 courses with holes eight to thirteen weaving through tall, established pine trees which also dominate the layout.

Ranked inside Australia's top 30 golf courses, Glenelg Golf Club offers a true world-class challenge and is recognized as one of Australia's premier golfing facilities. Strategic design elements and impeccable turf quality provide a memorable golfing experience for all players.

The Club has played host to numerous state and national championships, including the South Australian Open and Australian Amateur Championships, last co-hosting the Australian Amateur Championships in 2004 with Royal Adelaide Golf Club.

Players will find a Pro shop along with ample practice facilities. The clubhouse bar and bistro offer members both comfortable indoor and casual alfresco dining along with panoramic views across the golf course. Bonnie Doon is also one of Adelaide's leading function venues, having received multiple awards, and can cater for events both large and small.
