Miles Grant is a private country club located in Stuart, Florida, on the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway and near the inlet to the sea at Port St. Lucie. The club offers an 18-hole golf course as well as a range of recreational activities and amenities to its members.
Miles Grant's challenging and perfectly manicured golf course has been known since 1972 as one of the finest in the area. Constructed by Mahannah and Howard Associates in 1972, the executive-style layout was designed by Mark Mahannah, Jr. and Charles Mahannah, Jr. A Master Improvement Plan by Sanford Golf Design was implemented in 2002 and the course was converted to TifEagle greens between 2003 and 2005.
The par 64 layout now sports two legitimate par 5s, five par 4s, ten cunningly wrought par 3s, and one hole that can play either as a par 4 or five. The 4,712-yard course has “two” lakes – actually, one that wraps cleverly around the 18th hole and also borders the 17th.
All skill levels from the senior to the junior golfer find the Miles Grant layout to be a challenge and the facility, which is always a breeze, can give you an enjoyable ride or walk round in under four hours. Miles Grant Country Club also has three separate areas for practice or professional instruction and there is a driving range, putting green, and chipping area.
When not enjoying the golf course Miles Grant members and their guests have access to the swimming pool and a wide range of other sporting pursuits including tennis, kayaking, sailing, pickleball, and bocce. Following an active day, the clubhouse is a great place to enjoy extraordinary cuisine in the main dining room or relax with a cool drink and the casual atmosphere to be found in the Samuel Miles Tavern.
