The golf homes available in the West Orange Country Club community range from 1,857 to 4,500 square feet, with architectural designs that combine Craftsman and Traditional Florida elements. Although there are numerous custom floor plans to choose from, these golf houses commonly feature 3 to 6-bedrooms, 2 to 5-bathrooms, 2 to 3-car garages, front porches, covered lanais, spacious balconies, backyard pools, and gardens positioned amongst pockets of conservation and wetland areas.
The prices of these golf residences vary between the mid US$ 400,000s and the high US$ 700,000s, although some larger estate homes are also available. For its residents who like to enjoy the Florida weather, there’s a picnic pavilion, children’s playground, sports field, and a dog park on hand for families to enjoy on a daily basis. But the more serious recreation and relaxation can be found at the private West Orange Country Club. Opened in 1967, the club offers All-Inclusive, Standard, Student, and Limited Golf, as well as Social Memberships.
Packaged into these various membership categories are playing privileges on the 18-hole championship course designed by noted golf course architect Lloyd Clifton. Along with great golf members also enjoy the use of the tennis courts and swimming pool, as well as dining in the clubhouse’s plush Dining and Grill Rooms. Aside from the West Orange Country Club, other golf courses in Orange Country that resident golfing enthusiasts may enjoy include those at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club And Lodge, the Dubsdread, and Hawks Landing Golf Courses, Interlachen Country Club, and the MetroWest Golf Club.
Also in the immediate vicinity are the Windermere Recreation Area and the Tucker Ranch Recreation and Nature Complex. Department stores, specialty shops as well as limitless dining possibilities are also in store at the Winter Garden Village. Located in the historic downtown of Winter Garden are old Florida restaurants, local museums, and a multi-purpose theater. Outdoor activities here include biking along the 20-mile, paved West Orange Trail as well as bass fishing around Lake Apopka. Also, not to be missed are Orlando’s theme parks – Sea World, Universal Studios, and Disney World – which are only a short distance away.
